Third through sixth grade students at Arrowhead Elementary School recently learned about overcoming adversity through an assembly organized by school social worker Judy Forgione, L.C.S.W.

During the presentation, ALS Ride For Life members shared the story of Chris Prendergast and his brave journey with ALS. His message of how he turned his illness into a mission to find a cure inspired both students and staff.

This spring, Arrowhead Elementary School will hold a fundraiser to help research a cure for ALS. Additionally, the building will be supporting the annual Ride For Life, a major advocacy event.
