R.C Murphy Junior High School hosted the Science Olympiad Eastern Long Island Regional Competition on March 3. More than 400 students from across Long Island gathered to compete in team-based and collaborative STEM challenges.

Both P.J. Gelinas and R.C. Murphy Junior High Schools did exceptionally well at the tournament, earning medals in several events. Overall, Gelinas took first place and Murphy came in second. Both teams will head to the state tournament in April.
