The Ward Melville High School Science Olympiad team earned fifth place at Science Olympiad at the University of Pennsylvania (SOUP); the eighth annual invitational tournament hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.

SOUP is one of the most competitive, college-sponsored Science Olympiad invitational tournaments, with 63 teams nationwide participating. Out of the 23 Science Olympiad events ranging from engineering to biology, Ward Melville placed in the top ten for 12 of them.

The Ward Melville SciO team will be competing at the New York State Championship from Friday, March 15 to Saturday, March 16. We wish them well on this enormous endeavor!
