Minnesauke Elementary School celebrated Read Across America Week during the first week of March. To get students excited about reading, the building held a spirit week with themed-days including Crazy Hat Day and Wear a Shirt with Great Words Day. Additionally, Minnesauke held several schoolwide “Drop Everything and Read” events for students to stop what they were doing and pick up a book.

The celebrations continued with a visit by author Gordan Korman. Korman presented to fourth, fifth and sixth graders, who were extremely excited to meet a well-known author whose books they love to read!
