Ward Melville High School was recognized as one of the Top 5 Schools with the Most Submissions for 2024 in the Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition, earning an award of $1,000. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Ward Melville business department has achieved this status.

The Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition is the world’s largest and most prestigious virtual entrepreneurship competition for high school students. This year, 9,800 students from 161 countries and 48 U.S. states participated. The competition recognizes and awards outstanding educators and schools for their significant contribution of preparing students for the real world of entrepreneurship.
