Several Ward Melville High School students earned the Seal of Biliteracy for the 2023-2024 school year. Congratulations to Aiden Burgueno, Michael Chen, Annabelle Katsamakis, Grace Mulham, Savanna Pineros, Kevin Shi and Emily Vintimilla.

These students worked tirelessly throughout the school year in order to research a topic of interest affecting a region where their target language is spoken. Students compiled media sources, conducted interviews and created lengthy thesis presentations to a panel of professional judges in their target languages.

These students will be receiving specially endorsed high school diplomas from New York State, certifying they are biliterate, or can speak, read and write in other languages.
