Students in Ms. Katie Wonderland’s sixth grade science class at Mount Elementary recently took on an exciting STEM challenge – to build the tallest free-standing tower using Keva Planks.
Working in small teams, students explored engineering concepts such as balance, structure and stability. The hands-on activity encouraged problem-solving, collaboration and creativity as students tested different designs and strategies.
Challenges like these are part of Mount Elementary’s commitment to engaging students in meaningful, real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and math.
