On April 26, Minnesauke Elementary proudly hosted its annual schoolwide walk in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. Students gathered to show their support by walking around the bus circle, proudly displaying signs they had created to promote autism awareness and acceptance.
The event served as both a celebration and a learning experience, highlighting the importance of understanding and embracing individual differences. In a special moment during the walk, teachers recognized students who consistently demonstrate kindness, inclusion and acceptance of others. These students were honored with certificates to celebrate their positive impact within the school community.
The walk was a meaningful reminder of Minnesauke’s commitment to fostering a culture of compassion and respect for all.
