Fourth grade students in Mrs. Berman’s class at Minnesauke Elementary recently wrapped up their Plant and Animal Unit with a hands-on STEM activity in the Science Lab. To celebrate the conclusion of the unit, students used Keva Planks to design and build creative representations of flowers and plant structures.

The engaging activity allowed students to apply what they learned about plant parts and functions while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving and engineering skills. Each structure reflected students’ understanding of the unit’s concepts, brought to life through imaginative design and thoughtful construction.

This interactive experience was a fun and educational way to reinforce science learning while sparking creativity in the classroom.
