On Friday, May 30, students in Mrs. Lydon’s Early Childhood Education II class hosted their second annual Little Patriots Playgroup at Ward Melville High School. The safari-themed event welcomed incoming pre-K students for a fun and interactive introduction to their new school community.

Designed to help the young learners meet one another and feel more comfortable before starting pre-K in the fall, the playgroup featured engaging, educational activities. The Early Childhood Education students put in tremendous effort to create a warm and welcoming environment, filled with hands-on games and imaginative play centered around the exciting safari theme.

The event was a great success, providing future pre-K students with a memorable first step into their educational journey while giving ECE students valuable hands-on experience in planning and leading early childhood activities.
