Martin Luther King Jr. Art Exhibition

student artwork thumbnail253818

Several students in the National Junior Art Honor Society at R.C. Murphy Junior High and P.J. Gelinas Junior High School created artwork for the New York State Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Student Art and Essay Exhibition. The annual exhibition honors Dr. King’s memory and allows students to reflect on ways to celebrate his legacy in their own lives. The original student art in the exhibition is based on Dr. King’s six principles of nonviolence.

The full exhibition will be on display until Feb. 29 at the following link: https://empirestateplaza.ny.gov/nys-dr-martin-luther-king-jr-student-art-essay-exhibition
