Kindergarten Registration

The Three Village Central School District offers a full-day Kindergarten program for district residents.  In order to be admitted to Kindergarten in September, a child must be five years of age on or before December 1st during the school year in which they will attend.  Children who will not reach the age of 5 by December 1st of the year of matriculation may apply for early admission to kindergarten to the Superintendent or his/her Designee, by April 30th, stating the reason the parent/guardian seeks early admission. Early admission to kindergarten is done by screening, and children must be five years old between December 2 and December 31 of the school year of kindergarten admission (September). Please refer to Board of Education Policy #5140. In order to register a child the minimum that parents must provide is:  Proof of residence in the district, the child’s original birth certificate, and immunization records.  Registration occurs daily at the Central Registration Office in the North Country Administration Center (100 Suffolk Avenue, Stony Brook).  Regular hours are 8:30 am – 11:30 am and 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm.

Children must be registered with the Registrar’s Office at the North Country Administration Center prior to Kindergarten screening.  For more information about the registration process and the immunizations required, please visit the District website at  Additional information can be obtained by calling the Registrar’s Office at 730-4555.
