Following each of the District's budget planning meetings (held every Tuesday in March and ending with the April 12th budget adoption), an overview of the actions taken and information discussed will be posted here.

ABSENTEE VOTING

In the event that you are unable to present yourself at the polls to vote on the School Budget and School Board of Election (May 17, 2011), absentee applications are obtainable during school business hours from the District Clerk beginning April 30, 2011; completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.  Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.

Applications must be received by May 10, 2011 for a Ballot to be mailed to the voter. After May 10, 2011, the Application must be hand delivered to the District Clerk during school hours for receipt of a Ballot. The District Clerk’s office is located at the North Country Administration Building, 100 Suffolk Avenue, Stony Brook NY.

VOTER REGISTRATION FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS

Begins on March 31, 2011 and ends on May 4, 2011. In order to vote, you must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the Three Village Central School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote. You are an eligible voter and do not need to register again if you have voted in a Federal, State, County or School District Election within the past four years, and registered during the School District’s registration period last year. All residents who meet the eligibility criteria above and have not voted in the past four years, must register to vote. Residents who wish to register to vote, must present themselves in person to the District Clerk with the proper identification (i.e. driver’s license or bill with resident’s address) at the North Country Administration Center, 100 Suffolk Avenue, Stony Brook between 9:00am-11:30pm and 2:15-3:15pm, Monday-Friday during the registration period or on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Ward Melville High School, 380 Old Town Road, East Setauket (pool side entrance) between 9:00am and 7:00pm with the Board of Registry.

 

CANDIDATE PACKETS FOR ELECTION TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

District Residents who are interested in seeking election to the Board of Education, can pick up a Candidate Packet from the District Clerk at the North Country Administration Center, 100 Suffolk Avenue, Stony Brook beginning on March 9, 2011. Please call the District Clerk (730-4067) for further information. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to vote in the Three Village CSD School District. The deadline for completed packets is April 18, 2011 by 5:00pm.
