Closing NOT Weather-Related
Conditions such as loss of heat or electrical power, or interruption of water supply, may cause an individual school building to close on an emergency basis. It is imperative that parents/guardians develop adequate plans with their children in the event of such a closing.

Procedures for emergency closing, not weather-related:

Secondary Schools
All students will be bused home on regular bus routes unless other specific arrangements have been made with a building administrator.

Elementary Schools

1. Closing before 1:30 p.m. - All students will be evacuated to Minnesauke (or Nassakeag in the event Minnesauke is closed) with staff members. Depending on the circumstances, students may be bused home earlier than usual. The School Age Child Care program for the closed school will be conducted at Minnesauke/Nassakeag.

2. Closing after 1:30 p.m. - If an emergency closing occurs after 1:30 p.m., all students will be held on school grounds until regular dismissal time. The School Age Child Care program will operate unless conditions preclude its operation.
