Students Selected for Art Exhibitions

Several Three Village Central School District students were selected to have their art displayed in upcoming local exhibitions.

Ward Melville High School students Sara Bally, Maria Gavrilov and Sarina Policastro were chosen for the Atelier art show. Sara created a painting using conte crayons and coffee grinds to achieve value, line and form. Maria had a digital art piece selected for the exhibit whereas Sarina’s painting was chosen to be displayed. The Atelier Show runs from Feb. 29 to March 29 with a closing reception on March 23 from 12 to 2 p.m.

At the elementary level, two Minnesauke Elementary School students were selected to display their work in the 25th annual Colors of Long Island Student Art Exhibition. Congratulation to fifth graders Harper Airola and Avery Peirce. The exhibit is at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook and runs through April 7.
