Mrs. Frole’s third grade class at Minnesauke Elementary School participated in a service-learning project for Valentine’s Day. Students collected “Little Bits of Love,” or small items including ChapStick, nail polish, notebooks, candies and socks to create goodie bags for residents of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Students wrote heart shaped notes to pair with the donations with messages such as, “You are loved,” “Today is a good day to smile,” and “You are important.” The facilities handed out the goodie bags on Valentine’s Day to spread love and bring smiles to the residents.
