Ward Melville High School and the Three Village Industry Advisory Board hosted its sixth annual career fair on Feb. 8, inviting more than 80 local businesses to connect with Three Village students. Students in grades 7 to 12 were invited to attend to explore several industries and discover their own career path options.

Ahead of the fair, students were encouraged to take an interest profiler quiz in order to have a more personalized experience. This made for an easier way to navigate the career fair, as students could easily learn about the professions that were a suitable match for them and their profile results.

Students networked with professionals and learned about industries ranging from education, to healthcare, to government and hospitality. Several booths had interactive activities for students to gain a better understanding of their operations. For example, Gabrielli Truck Sales had a tire-changing station for students to try. Additionally, Sunrise Technology, Inc. offered a machine learning station for students to test drive.

The career fair shows students the many opportunities available to them after graduation. Throughout the school year, the Three Village Industry Advisory Board works to provide students with networking opportunities, internships and work experience in the community.
