Three Village Academy students participated in the 2024 MLK Portrait Project through East End Arts, working together to create a portrait of Daisy Gatson Bates. The MLK Portrait Project tasks student-artists with creating 16 panels that come together to create a mosaic portrait of a civil rights leader. Academy students were eager to work on the project together in art class and demonstrate unity through artistic collaboration.
