ENL students at R.C. Murphy Junior High School celebrated “Friendsgiving” ahead of the Thanksgiving break. ENL teacher Ms. Gasparis planned the event to spread the festive spirit to students of different cultural backgrounds, many of whom have not celebrated Thanksgiving before.

Students enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving meal and desserts, along with the company of their friends and teachers. In addition to a delicious meal, the students spent time with their friends by participating in games, making friendship bracelets and rock painting. The event created stronger bonds between students and gave them the opportunity to destress and unwind before their Thanksgiving break.
