Mrs. Baron’s seventh and eighth grade U.S. History classes at Murphy Junior High School created a “word cemetery” ahead of Halloween. Students first researched words that should no longer be used in writing assignments. They created “graves” of words that were dying and listed more descriptive synonyms, or words they would be survived by. Students all wore black for the “word funeral.” Happy Halloween!
