Students at W.S. Mount Elementary School in Three Village were excited to welcome Sparky and members of the New York Islanders organization to the building on Oct. 25. Energy was high as students filled the auditorium for an interactive presentation about teamwork and healthy lifestyle choices.

Students “warmed-up” for the assembly with stretches led by Sparky, which was then followed by a quick game of trivia. Students answered questions about making healthy choices. A student and teacher were chosen from the crowd for a timed challenge where they had to dress in hockey goalie equipment. The student worked with a team and won, whereas the teacher worked alone – showing how far teamwork can take you.
