October marks Fire Prevention Month and students in the Three Village Central School District are learning about fire safety and what to do in case of an emergency. The Setauket Fire Department visited several of the district’s elementary schools to introduce students to the best safety practices.

Firefighters put on their equipment to show students what they may look like when responding to an emergency. Students then went outside to tour a firetruck and other emergency vehicles. This engaging visit educated students while introducing them to some of the first responders in their own community.
