Nassakeag Elementary School sixth grader Brandon Song was named a winner in the Challenger Essay Contest through the Scholastic Storyworks program. Song entered the contest as a fifth grader last year and was tasked with writing a speech that tells the story of the Challenger Space Shuttle, including what caused the disaster and what changed as a result. He was selected as a contest winner from nationwide entries and received a $20 e-gift card and certificate.
