Ride_for_Life.png thumbnail246761

The Ride for Life made its way across Three Village on May 16, making stops at Arrowhead Elementary School, R.C. Murphy Junior High School and Ward Melville High School. The Ride for Life is a major advocacy event to raise awareness about ALS and funds for patient support services.

Patients with ALS led the journey through Three Village while students lined up outside their schools, cheering positive messages. Local fire departments allowed for a grand entrance at each of the buildings.

At Arrowhead Elementary School, students presented the ALS Ride for Life with a $1,185 check. Mrs. Giambalvo and Mrs. Callan's fifth grade class, and Mrs. Schwarz’s fourth grade class, raised the money by selling ice pops, ALS bracelets and collecting donations during lunch periods. At R.C. Murphy Junior High School, the ninth grade chamber choir put on a performance for the organization.
