Educators from Wales recently visited Setauket Elementary School to learn more about the American education system. Since 2021, Wales has been undergoing major changes in its education system and Welsh teachers have been visiting countries all over the world. The Three Village Central School District was honored to have been selected as a model for these traveling teachers to visit.

During their trip to Setauket Elementary School, Welsh teachers observed all facets of a typical school day. They took part in the building’s new Wellness Walk which provides students with several resources to promote their social-emotional health, visited the Zen Den meditation area, participated in hands-on STEM activities, listened to student-musicians perform and got a sneak peek at the library’s upcoming Makerspace. Additionally, the visitors met with the Three Village Historical Society. Setauket Elementary School was grateful to have the opportunity to share so many of its special programs.
