Students Learn Coding with Ozobots

Students Playing with Ozobots thumbnail245660

Third, fourth and fifth graders at Minnesauke Elementary recently completed robotics lessons in the library using Ozobots. Ozobots are small robots used as an introduction to coding. Students used markers to create color-coded paths that dictate the robot’s direction and speed.

Third graders created paths that focused on collecting recycling items for Earth Day, fourth graders learned about similes and fifth graders coded maps to reflect their favorite poems. The activity taught students at each grade level basic coding concepts, cause and effect and programming.
