Students at Minnesauke Elementary School are putting their own clay “boats” to the test. During a science experiment, they were challenged with molding clay to make it float in a bin of water. They added objects to their boats, such as marbles, to see how weight affected their creations. During this science lab, students learned about buoyancy and density through making predictions and observations.
