Minnesauke Elementary School kindergartners are being introduced to coding through a fun, hands-on activity. During library, students programmed Bee-Bots to follow commands.

Bee-Bots, shaped like bumblebees, can move forward, backward, left and right as students press buttons on their backs. Kindergartners commanded the robots to move different directions through a floor map while following a path.

While the Bee-Bots are an early introduction to programming, they also help students understand directional language and cause and effect.
