Happy Thanksgiving, Three Village!

Five photos of Thanksgiving festivities at different schools thumbnail237438

Across the Three Village Central School District, students participated in fun activities to get them excited about Thanksgiving. From feasts, to parades, to service projects, students at all grade levels engaged in meaningful activities.

Minnesauke Elementary School’s pre-K students held a Thanksgiving feast alongside their teachers and families. Students first shared aloud what they are thankful for before enjoying some Thanksgiving dinner staples.

Similarly, Nassakeag Elementary School pre-K students enjoyed a feast with their families before parading the halls to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Each student marched while holding a balloon, as the school’s marching band followed behind. Other grade levels lined the halls cheering the younger students on.

W.S. Mount Elementary School held a schoolwide parade, mirroring the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Two students served as announcers while classes passed through the bus loop holding balloons and projects ranging in themes from favorite book characters to New York State symbols. The fourth grade choir sang a Thanksgiving-themed song and the marching band led the parade before performing for the crowd. The event ended with a special visit from Buddy the Elf and a schoolwide performance of “Jingle Bells.”
