Nassakeag CARES on the School Bus

Students on Stage thumbnail229016

Nassakeag Elementary School held a pep rally to introduce its new School Bus CARES initiative to students at the end of Unity Week on Oct. 21. The school band played as students entered the auditorium and sixth grade ambassadors acted out short skits to demonstrate the expected behaviors and actions on the school bus.

Each day, bus drivers will identify one student that follows the Nassakeag CARES matrix – someone who is Compassionate, Accepting, Respectful, Embracing and Successful. The student will write their name on the coupon and the teacher submits it to the main office. Every Friday, Principal Ms. Levine and Assistant Principal Ms. Nastri will choose five coupons and announce winners over the loudspeaker. Those students will be invited to the office to choose from a variety of prizes.

Nassakeag’s Bus CARES pep rally also aligned with National School Bus Safety Week.
