Three Village Central School District faculty and staff were welcomed back after summer break during Superintendent’s Conference Day on Aug. 31. Staff gathered at Ward Melville High School where they heard opening remarks from Board of Education President Susan E. Megroz Rosenzweig and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin Scanlon.

Dr. Scanlon thanked the district’s clericals and custodians for their hard work in getting the buildings ready for the upcoming year. He welcomed the district’s 48 new staff members and reminded the group that each member of the Three Village staff, no matter the position, is important and makes an impact on students. Following Dr. Scanlon, Three Village Teachers Association President Bryan Pickford and Three Village School Administrators Association President Kerrin Welch-Pollera addressed the crowd.

Faculty and staff then broke up for department and faculty meetings and spent time in their classrooms. Following Superintendent’s Conference Day, the district held a professional development day on Sept. 1.
