Two student-artists from Minnesauke Elementary School were honored in the 2022 International Interdependence Hexagon Project. Congratulations to Abigail Matheisen who was awarded most creative use of materials in the “Interdependence” theme, and to Addison Scott who was awarded most creative use of materials in the “Kindness” theme.

The annual Hexagon Project encourages students to create artwork of any media using a hexagonal template. It aims to spread the meaning of interdependence and related themes through school and community-created art.

Abigail and Addison had their projects selected from more than 1,000 entries. Their artwork will be on display for the month of September at an exhibition in Scranton, Pennsylvania and they will be invited to a special recognition event on Sept. 11.
