Three Village Remembers

Two Students Holding American Flags thumbnail197467

American flags blanketed the school grounds throughout the Three Village Central School District as students and staff members prepared to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11. In classrooms and throughout school buildings, moments of silence and grade appropriate conversations transpired about the significance of the day and the importance of remembering those lives lost and the lives of all who came to help that day.

At Nassakeag and Minnesauke elementary schools, students also “planted” hundreds of small American flags around the school’s flagpole and surrounding grounds. As the flags waved in the warm September breeze they served as a visual reminder about the importance of the day.
