Additional Awards for Yearbook Staff

Ward Melville High School’s 2019 yearbook continues to garner top honors for the exceptional artistic talents of its creators. 

Most recently, the edition called “Current” was awarded five Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence awards. Quill and Scroll is a high school journalism honor society that strives to “encourage, support and recognize individual student initiative and achievement in scholastic journalism,” according to its website. Judges of the Yearbook Excellence awards, who consisted of professional journalists and graphic designers as well as retired Hall of Fame yearbook advisers, selected 206 national winners. 

The following were the honorees from Ward Melville High School: 

Camryn Zezelic (senior) won first place for her academics division photograph.
Faith Garcia (alumna) won first and second place in two spread design categories.
Grace Boyle (alumna) received an honorable mention for her spread design.
Kayla Zorn (alumna) received an honorable mention for her spread design.
