Three Village students taking part in math camp were inspired by the summer Olympics. Throughout the program, students practiced math skills to prepare for the upcoming school year. On the last day of camp, classes rotated through Olympic-style games to reinforce the many math concepts they worked on:
* Football toss with coin/money counting
* Bowling focusing on addition, subtraction and regrouping
* Cornhole and math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
* Basketball and place value
* Relay and egg hunt geometry problems
* Frisbee golf with math problems incorporated throughout
* Gymnastics focusing on estimation and time
* Javelin throw with metric and standard measurement
