Three Village Central School District’s Academy students recently helped to feed local animals through a highly successful pet food drive spearheaded by Legislator Kara Hahn and Long Island Cares.

As part of the initiative, the students collected pet food from employees in the district as well as at Stop and Shop. They provided lists of items needed by the shelters and asked shoppers to purchase one of the needed items when visiting the store.

The supplies collected, including a number of bags of food donated by Agway, were delivered to Baxter’s Pet Pantry, a branch of Long Island Cares.
