Minnesauke Elementary School Principal Nancy Pickford and Assistant Principal Karen Mizell kicked off the school year by pushing into classrooms for a read-aloud. Ms. Pickford and Ms. Mizell visited all classes to read stories that align with the building’s STARS pledge, which encourages students to be Sharing, Trustworthy, Accepting, Respectful and Serving. Some of the books they read included “The World Needs More Purple People” and “Maybe.” Students were excited to welcome their principals into the classroom!
