We received information from a neighboring school district that a parent walking a child to the bus stop was approached by a male driving a white Hyundai Santa Fe.

He opened the window and asked the parent if they would like a ride to school.  When the parent refused, he continued to follow the parent until the police arrived, at which time the male was questioned.

We have notified our bus company and ask that you use vigilance and speak with your children about the importance of “stranger danger,” and report any information regarding this vehicle to the Suffolk County Police Department.
