Ward Melville High School Italian classes experienced different aspects of authentic Italian culture during a recent field trip.

Beginning in a Ferrari-Maserati showroom, the students learned about the history of the automobile manufacturing company founded in Italy. After a brief presentation, the students were given the opportunity to design their own Ferrari and sit in different models. In the second part of the trip, they enjoyed a tasty lunch at Umberto’s, where they were able to see how the “pizzaioli” made pizzas following traditional Italian style, before enjoying their own pizzas.
