Earlier this year, P.J. Gelinas Junior High School entered the Follett Challenge, a program to find and reward schools who are designing 21st century teaching and learning programs. As part of the competition, Rafael Bennett and Theo Cook-Weitzman, two seventh grade students, created a short video about what makes the school’s program unique.

Please support Gelinas by viewing the video and voting for the school’s submission at the following link: https://follettchallenge.com/videos/1163. Twenty percent of the total score is based on votes! You can cast one vote per day January 21 – 25, 2019, so be sure to visit every day possible!

Thirteen prizes will be awarded. The Grand-Prize winner will win $60,000 and a visit by Newbery medal-winner, Kwame Alexander! The Follett Challenge Semi-Finalists and People’s Choice (video) winners will be announced on February 27, 2019, and the Grand-Prize winner will be announced on April 24, 2019.
