In the spirit of Hispanic Heritage month, Ward Melville High School level three Spanish classes created posters to showcase all Spanish-speaking countries.

The posters, which were placed on display for all to enjoy, included information about the culture, geography and idiomatic expressions unique to that particular area of the world. The classes visited the gallery of posters and participated in a scavenger hunt using the information included in each display.

In honor of El Día de los Muertos, a holiday traditionally celebrated in Mexico, the classes explored cultural activities, such as face painting, decorating calaveras (sugar skulls) and creating papel picado (perforated paper shapes), and sampled traditional dishes.
