Three Village Schools Host Summer Orientation Programs for Students

Schools throughout the Three Village Central School District hosted summer orientation programs and social events at their respective buildings this summer to help students become acquainted with their new school buildings. From pre-K and kindergarten playdates to high school orientation for the incoming sophomore class, the events served to ease any first-day nerves.

At Ward Melville High School, new principal William Bernhard welcomed the incoming class and their parents in the auditorium. Mr. Bernhard introduced those in attendance to the administrative team before guidance chair Linda Bergson provided an overview of the academic scheduling and career planning, and representatives of Student Government and the National Honor Society addressed the crowd. With the assistance of their parents and National Honor Society members, the students then embarked on walking tours of the school building and picked up their district-issued Chromebooks in the library.
