As an extension of their class studies, R.C. Murphy Junior High School seventh-grade Home and Careers classes attended an informative program on healthy eating and positive life choices.
 
The program, provided by Casey Clemens from the Ethical Choices Program, covered ways to prevent cardiovascular disease and obesity, as well as the link between unhealthy food choices and such things as cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis. 

The school’s Home and Careers program is a 10-week course that all students take during their first year of junior high school
