The R.C. Murphy Junior High School’s foreign language club hosted its annual volleyball tournament in which over 300 students and staff members participated.
Each team consisted of six to eight students and one staff member and each played in at least five games during the tournament. There were two divisions: seventh-graders and eighth- and ninth-graders. As a result of their winning records, the seventh-grade champions were team G-Force and the eighth- and ninth-grade champions were team No Names.
The proceeds from the event will be used to purchase school supplies for the Instituto Modelo De Enseñanza Individualizada, which is a school for students with special needs in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
