Sewing Up Donations
Looking to brighten the days of local children, P.J. Gelinas Junior High School eighth-grade home and careers classes have created 100 handsewn colorful teddy bears for the Ronald McDonald House.
What started as a class sewing project transitioned into a community giving project after the students expressed interest in donating their creations to children in need or those suffering from illness. In partnership with the Ronald McDonald House, the students’ creations will be delivered to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
