Students enrolled in Catherine Duffy’s English classes at R.C. Murphy Junior High School took a step back in time to experience the Renaissance period as part of their study of William Shakespeare’s famous play “Romeo and Juliet.”

The students made Renaissance-style masks and created a choreographed dance to Renaissance music in order to re-enact the masked ball where Romeo and Juliet met. Additionally, working in small groups, the students brought the written words to life as they acted out the play’s act two prologue.
