DECA Heads to Nationals

Ward Melville High School’s DECA members recently competed at the New York State competition in Rochester, New York and earned top prizes in what was their first year of competition. 

As a result of their depth and breadth of knowledge, they took home several awards and eight of them have qualified for the national competition in Anaheim, California in April. 
According to their website, DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

The Three Village Central School District proudly congratulates the following students who have qualified to compete nationally: 

Kelsey Ge – First Place in Principles of Marketing
Priya Mukhi – First Place in Principles of Business Management & Administration
Varsha Talanki – First Place in Principles of Hospitality & Tourism
Austin Day and Tyler Flynn – Second Place in Sports & Entertainment Marketing, 
Team Decision Making
Josh Farahzad and William Jin – Second Place in Buying & Merchandising, 
Team Decision Making
Jay Sangwan – Fourth Place in Principles of Finance
