DECA Racks Up Awards

In their first year of competing, Ward Melville High School’s DECA members captured top honors at the regional DECA competition that recently took place at Suffolk Community College’s Selden campus.
Out of the 41 Ward Melville team members, 38 students were awarded top prizes in their respective categories. As a result of their excellent performance, these students will compete at the state level in Rochester in March.

During the regional competition, the students showcased their understanding of various business subjects in written form. At the state level, the competition will include a series of interviews and role-play activities.
