International Artists
Four Minnesauke Elementary School talented students – Julia Horan, Alexa Horan, Keira Sabbatini and Sarah Wood ¬– earned international acclaim during the 10th Annual Interdependence Hexagon Project Exhibit hosted in Scranton, Pennsylvania this September.
Julia was awarded “Most Effective Over-All Interpretation,” Alexa earned the title of “Most Relevant to Interdependence Theme” and Keira and Sarah each won honorable mention in the “2D Mixed Media” category.
According to the organization’s website, the project calls for students to create art based on a global issue within the infinitely inter-linking shape of a hexagon, a metaphor for interconnectedness. This year’s theme was “We Do: Acting Interdependently.”
