Dining Around the World
Students and families from across the district came together to celebrate their cultures and heritages during a Dinner Around the World event sponsored by the English as a New Language department.
All the families whose children are in the ENL program were invited and many brought a traditional dish from their native country. Student work was displayed and a short video of the students in their classes was played for attendees to enjoy.
“It is a great evening for the families to gather and feel a part of the school community” said Kerri Golini, junior high school foreign language and ENL chairperson.
The dinner was held at R.C. Murphy Junior High School and was supported by the department’s teachers Monica Aston, Erin Brusee, Gail Dawkins, Laurie Raspler and Stacey Russo.
